Position Summary
We are looking for a goal-oriented team member who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The Sales Engineer will provide pre-sale technical support for the Company’s Digital Evidence Management Solutions. The Sales Engineer will support our Business Managers and Proposal Generation team to architect, propose, and present our solutions. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise and strong communication skills to effectively articulate and present our solutions to prospective clients.
Job Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Learn the technical and workflow needs of our Law Enforcement, Corrections, and DA clients and adapt Utility Inc. solutions to address them.
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements.
- Develop and deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and solution proposals.
- Provide 1st–level technical support throughout the pre-sales cycle for opportunities.
- Provide professional responses to customer RFPs/RFIs
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of industry trends, technical developments, and competitive offerings that affect target customers.
- Successfully differentiate Utility Inc.’s technology from competitive solutions.
- Capture requested product features and provide feedback to Product Management, Engineering and Marketing teams.
Mandatory Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Ability to travel up to 60% of the time.
- Associate’s degree in engineering or computer science (or 5+ years relevant experience)
- Strong adaptive skills, and the ability and desire to keep up with the latest new technologies.
- Effective presentation skills, technical acumen,
- Must have excellent interpersonal and presentation skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Ability to work in a team environment and individually as needed.
- Ability to handle multiple projects, tasks, and clients at a time.
- Effective management of time and tasks.
- Flexibility to travel on short notice.
- Must be willing to learn and use Hubspot and/or other applications as determined by the company
- Must be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must be organized, productive and results-driven
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
