Lokring Sales Engineer

Tasks and Work Activities
- Confer with customers by email, telephone or in person to assess product needs, quote prices, availability, credit terms, contracts, product specifications, system requirements, services, take and/or enter orders, estimated delivery schedules, service contracts, bid specifications, warranties, issues related to responsible use and disposal of products, cancelling accounts, or obtain details of complaints.
- Prepare quotes, provide information as requested, and take calls from auto and appliance customers wanting to place orders, respond to inquiries from potential customers.
- Conduct Safe Handling of Flammable Refrigerant training.
- Set-up booth, show products and engage with customers at tradeshows.
- Stock and/or distribute resources, such as samples or promotional or educational materials.
- Inventory, package and ship all trade show supplies to include but not limited to giveaways, marketing materials,
- Thinking creatively, organizing, planning, and prioritizing work, developing objectives and strategies, making decisions and solving problems, updating and using relevant knowledge, interpreting the meaning of information for others, judging the qualities of things, services, or people.
- Prepare and give technical presentations to explain to customers how the products and services work.
- Track inventory usage and recommend appropriate stocking levels based on forecasted sales.
- Obtain technical drawings or specifications for use by engineering and PPS departments in bid preparations.
- Identify prospective customers, using business directories, leads from existing clients, participation in organizations, trade shows, conference attendance, and customer list.
- Collect and document competitive intelligence.
- Create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the value proposition.
Requirements, Tools, and Education
- This position reports directly to the Sales Manager, Lokring.
- This position is considered regular, full-time, and requires a minimum schedule of 40 hours per week.
- Valid driver’s license, valid passport (or able to obtain), must be able to travel worldwide by air, land and sea.
- Observe and comply with AVC’s rules and regulations.
- Must agree to (and pass) a background check, physical (if applicable), and drug screening testing.
- Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus.
- Working Knowledge of Refrigeration and Air conditioning systems.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering preferred, or equivalent experience considered.
