The Sales Executive is integral to maintaining and expanding our business by fostering transparent relationships, enhancing trust, and delivering value to our customers. Your efforts will be key to helping clients achieve their goals, which are the foundation of our long-term success. You will develop and execute strategic sales plans, capitalize on growth opportunities, and identify new business prospects to meet the company’s commercial sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Sales Support (85%)
- Drive sales growth by identifying new opportunities, expanding product lines, and attracting customers in underserved markets while optimizing margins.
- Develop and recommend tailored products, packaging, and pricing strategies to meet client needs.
- Create and negotiate comprehensive sales quotes, pricing proposals, and contracts with both new and existing clients.
- Regularly visit key customers to strengthen relationships and maintain visibility with decision-makers.
- Coordinate seasonal demand planning with the Global Supply Team, providing insights on sales-driven opportunities.
- Lead cross-departmental meetings to ensure successful execution of new brand launches and major contract bids.
- Supply the Operations Team with necessary documentation to support sales and margin initiatives.
- Participate in strategic and sales planning meetings, contributing to goal-setting and budgeting for assigned accounts.
- Prepare weekly sales updates for management.
Account Management (10%)
- Maintain daily communication with customers alongside the Customer Business Manager, addressing service, sales support, product development, and logistics.
- Provide mentorship and support to assigned Customer Business Managers and Sales Services staff.
Supply Development (5%)
- Coordinate sales-driven opportunities with our Asia team.
- Actively engage in the Supply Development group to drive collaborative efforts.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 10+ years of sales experience in frozen fruits and/or vegetables within retail, industrial, foodservice, or club store markets.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, with a focus in business, agriculture, or a related field.
- Onsite availability in the Santa Cruz, CA area ; remote candidates in the PST time zone may be considered with the ability to be onsite with short notice.
- Strong understanding of supply chain dynamics, cost structures, and the nuances of the commodity market.
- Proactive approach to winning business and solving customer needs with a customer-centric mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong abilities in relationship-building and negotiation.
- Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment, able to work with minimal supervision.
- Highly organized with exceptional time management and prioritization abilities.
- Willingness to travel 10-20% domestically, with occasional international travel.
