Sales Management Trainee - Lehigh Hanson

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Sales Management Trainee to join our Southwest Region team in Irving, TX. As a Sales Management Trainee you willcomplete a defined training program tailored to prepare you for future roles in constructionmaterial sales. In addition to sales, the program will expose the candidate to a broad range of functions within the business including operations and numerous other support departments.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO

• Strong focus on the sales side of the business including the sales processes, orders, logistics, billing, etc.
• Involvement in the operational side of the business including exposure to mining, processing, quality control, and shipping.
• A solid understanding of the support departments including the functions that they perform and how they support the business. These include CCM, finance, and legal.
• Complete various projects as assigned during the training program. Projects may be operational, sales or business development related. These projects are a great way for the successful candidate to really add value to the organization and increase their own skills while completing the training program.
• Participate in continuous improvement exercises, including work that is heavily analytical, to seek new and changing ways to improve the profitability of the business.
• Drive and promote a culture of safety and promote a safe work environment

HERE’S WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• A Bachelors or Advanced degree in sales/marketing, construction management, mining or another applicable program.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to maintain a safe workplace and to perform hands on duties as part of an overall development program
• Computer literacy
• Ability to anticipate and adapt to changing situations
• Willingness to travel and / or relocate for future assignments
