About the Job
Overall Scope and Responsibility:
Responsible for all sales activities in assigned accounts of your regions. Manage quality and consistency of product and service delivery.
Essential Duties:
- Responsible for the assigned market's revenue/quota based on the sales plan.
- Achieve established group room nights and revenue as outlined by the agreed upon goals.
- As a primary market, strong penetration of new accounts, full penetration of market and update of trends.
- Within established parameters, quote and negotiate prices with customer representatives confirming reservations by letter and drawing up contracts; sign for the hotel and obtain customer signature to close the transaction
- Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships
- Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activities
- Entertainment/Site Inspections/Sales Calls
- As directed, participate in trade shows, conventions and promotional events within the hotel, the industry and customer organizations.
- Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts
- Prepare Action plan with DOSM to effectively strategize market
- Travel to designated areas to attend market segment Tradeshow/Networking
- Work closely with the local entities, i.e.: GMCVB, city of Miami Beach Convention Sales Department
- Promote positive relations with clients/guests & employees
- To work closely and communicate effectively with the different Departments
- To provide and maintain the highest quality standard of service to all our customers at all times
- To be completely familiar with Opera software for Sales and Catering
- Responsible for all phases of Sales process, upon closing, coordinate and follow-up with other hotel departments to ensure delivery of superior services.
- Identify and resolve client concerns to accomplish the work required to close sales
- Ensure effective communication for turnover files for the success of each group event.
- Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up.
- In addition to your daily responsibilities, open to assisting other departments in order to ensure the successful operation of the hotel.
