Sales Manager – Paperboard & Containers,
Business Development Activities, Region: North America
Description
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of company's products and services in order to pitch them to
potential clients.
- Determine annual sales plan by forecasting and projecting for existing and new clients.
- Conduct research to identify new markets and prospective companies which can be targeted.
- Identify and segment the key industries which can be targeted.
- Identify key decision makers in the organizations and approach them.
- Promote company's products/services.
- Build and Maintain prospect database and ensure effective follow ups.
- Contact prospects via emails or by making cold calls in order to generate leads.
- Arranging meetings with prospective clients to discuss business opportunities.
- Travel and visit potential customers as required and based on meetings arranged.
- Effectively and accurately respond to RFQ's/RFP's/Bids.
- Co-ordinate with R&D dept. for new product development and sample orders for machine trials
- Ensure price and sample approvals – followed by receiving commercial orders.
- Prepare/Review sales contracts.
- Identify key exhibitions related to Packaging and identify potential companies to be approached.
- Provide support to agents and representatives in the market for business development activities.
Key Account Management:
1. Order Processing and Management
Follow up with customer for purchase orders
2. Coordination with Customer
- Establish and maintain productive business relationships by providing efficient & effective
services
- Ensure smooth customer service by providing:
Weekly order status updates
Providing packing lists and other documents as required
Following all agreed SOP's
Identify client needs and provide appropriate products and solutions
Sharing new product developments and innovations
- Providing post production retained samples (if required)
- Resolve problems and customer complaints in a timely and satisfactory manner
- Ensure payments receivables in the stipulated time frame
3. Training and Support
- Provide training and mentoring to new/junior team members for effective account management.
