About the Role
As the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing operations on a day-to-day basis, and ensure that the branch is operating safely and effectively so that sales are optimized and customers are satisfied.
What You'll Do:
- Oversee sales goals and operations on a day-today basis.
- Direct and indirect supervision of all departments, including counter sales, inside sales, warehouse/deliver, quotations/projects and operations.
- Directs the sales activities of the branch.
- Develops and maintains good customer relations, to promote Turtle & Hughes as the vendor of choice
- Continuously acquires and develops product and technical knowledge to assist sales team and customers with proper selection and use of products.
- Trains personnel on appropriate delivery of customer service and extending branch resources to promote quality distributor services to our customers.
- Oversees decision making and resolution of customer complaints and involves vendors or other internal departments as needed for prompt handling and follow up.
- Continuously looks for sales leads and prospective customers, based on business directories, involvement in industry events, trade shows, and other viable sources.
- Makes joint calls with sales team, to existing or prospective customers to assist in building relationships and gaining new leads.
- Develops and maintains professional relationship with vendors and other business partners.
What You'll Bring
- Minimum 5 years of electrical distribution sales experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; College degree preferred
- Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
- Ability to travel as required by account requirements.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent negotiation skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to drive decisions with influence.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

- Excellent customer service skills and ability to manage customer expectations
- Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and have a current driver’s license and good driving record.
