About the Job
Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures (WDSMP) Theatrical Distribution facilitates all strategy, planning, sales, and marketing for all Disney brands for direct distribution and execution to North American exhibitors.
This role will oversee all sales responsibilities in a mid to high profile territory of the U.S. for all theatrical releases from Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. This includes customer direct sales and booking functions, relationship building, handling accounts receivables, and marketplace analytics. This person will serve as a mentor/guide to sales reps and sales coordinators.
Responsibilities:
+ Sales of all films distributed by the Walt Disney Studios (Disney Live Action, Disney Animation, Marvel, Lucas, Pixar, Searchlight).
+ Managing accounts (Theatres) in their specific markets. Collection of daily grosses, entering box office reports, and film rentals. Monitors excessive passes and discounting by exhibition.
+ Sales area research and analytics, studying specific markets they are responsible for. Study trends and pricing for theatres. Identifying changes including demographics of customer base in these markets.
+ Assist with marketing material placement requests & theatre visits. Verifying that film materials are displayed in theatres and studio trailers are on screen.
Basic Qualifications:
+ 5+ years’ experience in theatrical motion picture sales and distribution or theatrical exhibition.
+ Highly collaborative and team-oriented work style, with well-developed interpersonal skills.
+ Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (MS, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and some SAP.
+ Availability on some nights and weekends to visit theatres during opening weekends of our films
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Ability to prioritize activities, manage timelines and communicate with diverse group of stakeholders
+ Strong work ethic and takes initiative
+ Ability to maintain multiple projects
+ Some marketing background and experience
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $92,700 to $113,300 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
