About the Job
The Sales Planning, Distribution and Programs Manager is responsible for sales topics within the BMW Motorrad USA team ranging from strategic volume and cost of retail planning to the monthly volume planning and development and implementation of tactical sales programs. The responsibilities under the position also extend to other activities (described below under the bullet point list of responsibilities) that are directly linked and necessary to successfully operate the business for a comprehensive business management accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning for BMW Motorrad USA retail volume by developing annual and monthly production, wholesale and retail sales plans in accordance with the Budget, LRP and monthly forecast processes (FC0x) in close coordination with NSC and Munich Management.
- Strong collaboration with Product Management, Dealers and Dealer Development to identify, evaluate and effectively communicate sales trends at the model level to manage model mix and enhance profitability and sales while achieving volume and profit targets.
- Developing, aligning and finalizing the monthly and long-term production and wholesale planning process via the IVP system resulting from previous detailed analysis to optimize revenue for BMW Motorrad USA.
- Managing the overall Cost of Retail for BMW Motorrad USA with direct responsibility over the CoR budget for the year and well as developing, implementing and communicating to the dealer body the monthly and/or quarterly retail sales and/or wholesale programs. This responsibility requires strong coordination with the controlling team to proactively manage the assigned budget to optimize its use towards the achievement of retail and wholesale targets while maintaining a strong contribution margin. Monthly reporting of results and new programs need to be presented to management.
- Early coordination of the tactical retail sales programs with Marketing Communications and Financial Services to allow for preparation of marketing materials and systems for sales programs
- Timely execution of Production Allocations, Dealer First Supply distributions and the associated production ordering.
- As the owner of the strategic planning and execution of wholesale activities, manage the supplier relationships and the execution of motorcycle transportation to dealerships.
- Coordinating the process of Cost of Retail incentives closing at month end and on-time payment of incentives to dealers in addition to ad hoc KPI and planning analysis.

The pay range for this role is: $114.067.00 - $142.318.00.
The selected candidate's education, skills, experience, and location will be used to determine the final salary offer. All pay ranges are based on a full-time work schedule. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.

- Bachelor degree or Equivalent in business administration
- 6+ years in a leadership role
- 7+ combined years at the wholesale and retail levels
- 7+ years of experience in the inner-workings of production to retail chain
- 5+ years experience in retail tactics to drive volume and profit target achievement
