Join us in the Beer & Wine & Spirits Industry on our Republic National Distributing Company sales team! As an RNDC Sales Relief Representative, you will provide support and relief to the Sales Team and be an integral member of the Merchandising team. You will be part of the team that maximizes the sale of supplier brands to On and Off Premise clients, as well as the team that stocks, rotates and merchandises our products so they are ready to sell. You will work closely with our sales and operations teams to provide excellent customer service to assigned accounts.
SALES RELIEF REP JOB DESCRIPTION
- Drive within assigned route to work product from store back stock or delivery loads; aiding sales reps in stocking, handling beverage cases, and working products the company represents.
- Service between 4 and 10 accounts each day.
- Developing monthly, weekly, and daily written plans for execution.
- Establishing and following an efficient and economical routing pattern that ensures assigned accounts are serviced and merchandised as needed.
- Following the established guidelines for a complete sales call.
- Work with merchandisers to service all aspects of accounts.
- Developing an effective partnership with accounts.
- Conducting on sale promotions and activations.
- Creating customer business building concepts to increase company share and volume.
- Gaining knowledge of the specific customer’s business operations and coordinating multiple and diverse options for selling the company’s products to each.
- Having extensive knowledge of the brands and knowing in-depth features and benefits of each compared to the competition.
- Ensuring maximum distribution of all authorized SKU’s in cold box and on shelf in all assigned accounts.
- Fill cold boxes and shelves with appropriate merchandise, and rotate product on an ongoing basis.
- Maintain the back-stock area to allow for a safe and efficient work environment.
- Organize back stock to ensure accurate order writing for sales.
- Build displays in stores and maintain POS (point of sale) marketing materials.
SELLING
Obtain company and supplier quotas and generate revenue growth by:
· Selling concepts and consulting with the customer on strategies that will collectively enhance both business models.
· Building relationships and an effective partnership with the ultimate decision maker in assigned accounts.
· Utilizing pricing and promotion strategies, marketing opportunities, servicing, merchandising and category management skills.
REQUIREMENTS
Reliable transportation with a clean driving record, and current insurance. Weekly travel between Fairbanks and surrounding areas, including North Pole, Ester, and Fox.
COMMUNICATING
Serve as information resources for, and conduits between, the field and the company's management by communicating issues, opportunities, and market intelligence through effective written, electronic and verbal means. The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. This position requires the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. The role also requires the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees and the general public. Maintain a good rapport with other employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all unites of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, percent, margin and mark-ups or the capacity to learn.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Computer Experience is required. Knowledge of MS Excel is required. Knowledge of MS Word, Publisher, PowerPoint is preferred.
