About the Job
Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, the Sales Representative will be responsible for developing and implementing SIM Surgical's growth strategy. This role involves strengthening and maintaining strong, trustworthy relationships between customers and SIM Surgical. The Sales Representative will spearhead business development and sales efforts, acting as the primary point of contact for all aspects of the relationship, including customer satisfaction and contract management. Additionally, the Sales Representative will drive a deep understanding of our customers' business models and formulate strategies to ensure SIM Surgical expands into new programs and increases market share within existing customers.

- Drive Sales Growth: Implement strategies for conversion, penetration, and retention to achieve profitable sales growth within the customer base.
- Market and Customer Analysis: Conduct detailed analyses of customers’ market strategies, supply chain structures, and product development processes.
- Manage Customer Activity: Oversee all customer-related activities to sustain existing business and expand sales across current and new product lines.
- Build Strong Relationships: Cultivate and maintain relationships at all levels within the customer’s organization to ensure their needs are fully addressed.
- Customer Prospecting: Engage in deep customer prospecting within key accounts to understand their needs from R&D to production.
- Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with manufacturing and quality teams to deliver exceptional customer service and communication.
- Customer Presentations: Prepare and deliver tailored presentations, effectively leading customer meetings and communications.
- Customer Engagement: Regularly visit customer locations to maintain and strengthen relationships with key contacts and prospects.
- Reporting and Communication: Plan, prepare, and present reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to plant, executive teams, and other stakeholders.
- Forecasting: Continuously create and update sales forecasts.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate customer contracts to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
- Pipeline Management: Generate and manage pipeline opportunities to meet business objectives and sales targets.
- Industry Engagement: Participate in industry tradeshows and conferences to stay informed and connected.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (50%).
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Goal-oriented, organized team player.
- Self-motivated and self-directed.
- Proficient with Office suite products.
- The ability to handle complex issues in a professional and calm manner.
- Strong negotiation skills, with ability to follow-through on customer contracts.
- Proven results of delivering customer solutions and meeting sales goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, sales, or relevant field is required.
- 3 years of technical sales experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 5 years of previous work experience in sales or strategic account management.
- Previous Orthopedic Sales experience desired.
