The company was formed with one tractor/trailer unit and has grown to over 100 units, and 5 terminals throughout the United States and Canada. An emphasis on providing knowledgeable service through strong managerial leadership and offering an expansive field of transportation services including truckload, LTL, and over- dimensional shipments has made such growth possible.
We are seeking a dynamic professional to join Westfreight Systems. The role involves prospecting for new customers, maintaining and enhancing current customer relationships, and promoting our brand. Key responsibilities include providing exceptional customer service, presenting innovative transportation solutions, and achieving high volume cold call targets. The candidate will work both independently and collaboratively, adapting to business needs and supporting various functions as required.

Scope of the role:
Customer Acquisition:
- Qualify and actively prospect for new customers by identifying potential clients through research and outreach and developing strategies to engage and convert prospects into customers.
- Solicit new customers to promote and expand Westfreight Systems brand by actively seeking out new business opportunities and utilizing various marketing and sales techniques.
- Meet and exceed high volume daily cold call goals by achieving and surpassing daily targets for cold calling and lead generation, and maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency in outreach efforts.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Maintain and improve current customer relationships by fostering strong, ongoing relationships with existing clients and implementing strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Build customer relationships by providing superior customer service, ensuring exceptional service delivery to meet and exceed customer expectations, and addressing customer inquiries and issues promptly and effectively.
Solution Development:
- Present customers with creative, cost-effective transportation solutions by developing and proposing innovative solutions tailored to their needs, and highlighting the value and benefits of the proposed solutions.
Collaboration and Flexibility:
- Work independently and collaboratively to meet business needs by operating autonomously while also contributing to team efforts, adapting to changing business requirements, and collaborating with colleagues as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by undertaking additional tasks and responsibilities as directed by management, demonstrating flexibility, and a willingness to support various business functions.
What you bring:
- 3-5 years of experience in the transportation industry and non-retail commissioned sales is required
- 1-3 years of experience in transportation-related inside sales and customer service is required
- Less Than Truckload (LTL) experience required
- Deck Full Truckload (FTL) experience required
- Experience in the oil, gas and energy sectors
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Logistics, Transportation, Marketing or other related field is required, will accept an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment
- Strong negotiating and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to succeed in a performance-based compensation environment
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service with a sense of urgency.Proficiency in MS Office Suite and the ability to learn various computer systems
