Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain company reputation of integrity and professionalism by communicating with customers in a courteous manner
- Attend all estimate appointments in a punctual manner and with enthusiasm
- Submitting thorough, written proposals to customers
- Return incoming phone calls in a professional, timely manner
- Provide product differentiation to customers throughout the selling process
- Assist customers in understanding exactly what they are paying for and why it is a superior product.
- Effectively sell the company's services to the customer in a competitive atmosphere by understanding the customer's needs and selling to satisfy those needs.
- Help jobs stay profitable while maintaining a customer-focused experience
- Maintain consistent follow-up procedures on all open bids through use of a CRM
- Strive to target and market to the company's ideal customer base
- Set and achieve goals for sales volume, closing rate and gross profit.
- Prioritize work and actions in order to achieve established sales goals.
- Develop a well-thought-out prospecting plan focusing on generating leads for the company.
- Participate in networking groups to establish business relationships and promote the company.
- Maintain regular communication with management, co-workers and field personnel.
- Assure that all necessary information pertaining to jobs is communicated to field personnel and office staff
- Maintain open communication with crew leaders, painters and office staff in order to remain knowledgeable of jobs and teams.
- Communicate with all employees in a positive and respectful manner.
- Demonstrate positive leadership through all actions with all employees.
- Assist in problem solving, conflict resolution and implementing solutions.
- Working cooperatively with other departments to develop and implement methods and systems that are most effective for growing the business.
- Attend all meetings on time and be an engaged member of the team.
- Support company mission by following through on initiatives.
- Work the necessary hours per week in order to perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely manner.
Job Qualifications:
- Industry Knowledge is required
- Two (2) years of professional sales experience is a plus
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred
- Must maintain a professional appearance.
- Must have a positive attitude and cooperate well.
- Must be trustworthy and able to maintain confidential information.
- Must be responsible and reliable.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking.
- Excellent communication; both oral and written.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent organization and planning.
- Effective time management
- Requires flexibility to learn and accept other duties.
- Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills.
- Strong math skills and confidence when working with numbers.
- Excellent computer skills and prior experience with a CRM is a plus
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel throughout the greater St. Louis area

Work Environment:
Work is performed in various locations. Exposure to harsh conditions is possible for short periods-such as dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperatures. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.

The physical demands described here represent those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential function of this job successfully. While performing this position's duties, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear.
