JOB SUMMARY:
The Sales Specialist reports directly to and works under the supervision of
the National Clinical Sales Manager. The Sales Specialist is responsible for
selling products offered by the company to current and new clientele.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Extensive travel schedule of 50-75% of work time.
Always seeking new avenues and methods of communicating with doctors.
You are not afraid to pick up the phone and make cold calls.
5-10 in person Sales Calls per day when on the road. Must have a clear
execution plan for each day.
Weekly, compile 2-3 hours of online research of territory, accounts and
strategizing to produce optimal results.
Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales
leads in assigned territory
Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product
or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet
those needs
Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to customers
based on their needs
Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship
management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale
Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them
of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest
Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders,
sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems
Required to meet sales goals as assigned
Must submit expenses within the require timeline
Must follow all company policies regarding company expenses
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or related field or at
least 2 years of related work experience required.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
1-2 years of B2B outside sales experience required. Preferred experiences in
the medical devices field background with a documented successful sales track
record.
Proficient with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Power
Point, and Outlook.
Must stay current with an active sales pipeline. Must be able to analyze a
territory, plan and execute efficient sales call patterns with customers.
Prior medical sales experience is preferred
Prior Concur and Trip Actions experience is desired.
COMPETENCIES:
Must report company expenses incurred on company credit card within the set
company t meline.
Must maintain a clean driving record, valid driver's license and meet
company insurability guidelines
Must be able to handle stress positively, effectively, and in the way most
appropriately for the benefit of the department and company. Able to
positively respond to change and handle any other tasks assigned.
Ability to work professionally with many different personalities.
Must be willing to travel on a moment's notice, domestic and international.
Must have attention to detail. Must be highly dependable and have a strong
desire from problem solving.
Must be self-motivated and well-organized to accomplish multiple tasks.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Majority of the work is performed on site at a customer's facility.
Must be flexible with schedule and able to work extra hours.
May require PPE and periodic exposure to low dose radiation.
Must adhere to all customer vendor credentialing requirements when visiting
healthcare facilities.
