JOB DESCRIPTION
A Machine and Fabrication Shop in Kansas City is seeking a Steel Salesman/Project Manager to lead their fabrication division. The ideal candidate will have experience in the steel industry and have familiarity with the fabrication process for structural steel and miscellaneous metals projects. Connections with major GCs operating in the Kansas City market is a major plus.
Sales/Project Manager Requirements:
- +2 years of experience in steel industry with emphasis on structural steel and miscellaneous metal fabrication.
- Ability to sell fabrication services to steel construction and general contracting companies in Kansas City metroplex.
- Knowledge of managing fabrication projects is major plus.
Sales/Project Manager Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Execution of takeoffs, preparation of estimates/proposals, bid, schedule, and management of projects.
- Solicit and negotiate price, schedule and Job Contract expectations with customers and subcontractors.
- B.S. in Construction Management, Construction Technology or Civil Engineering degree, or equivalent steel erection management & Ironworker leadership experience preferred.
Salary: $80,000 - $135,000
Negotiable depending on what is brought to the table - have negotiated up to $150k on a base
