A life client is seeking a Sales Support Coordinator to join the group benefits distribution team. This professional will be instrumental in building and maintaining relationships with sales representatives and brokers. This role presents a fantastic opportunity to develop new skills, establish valuable professional connections and grow within the insurance industry.
Responsibilities:
- Collect, evaluate and assess information to complete requests for proposal (RFPs) for potential and existing group cases.
- Fulfill marketing program and material requests from brokers and field representatives.
- Drive market growth through accurate RFPs and exceptional case submissions.
- Manage sales tracking, onboarding and renewal processing using Salesforce.
- Drive growth by maintaining the inforce block, identifying opportunities and enhancing persistency within your regional segment.
- Serve as the initial point of contact for new business relationships from brokers.
- Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with internal and external partners to maintain a valuable market presence and uphold customer commitment.
- Advocate for process improvements and organizational initiatives that enhance team performance.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- 1+ years of experience working in a sales environment with a general group insurance carrier
- Resident state life and health certifications upon hire
- Experience working with an employee benefits carrier, either in the carrier home office, broker office or field office
- Ability to travel 10% of the time
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Experience working with Salesforce
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Effective organizational and multitasking abilities
- Working knowledge of the employee benefits and insurance industry products
