We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Sales Tax Compliance Analyst to join our State and Local Tax (SALT) team.

CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered remote which means it does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a CohnReznick office location. However, as a remote employee, you may be required to be present at a CohnReznick office with scheduled notice for client work, team meetings, or trainings.

YOUR ROLE. 

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Assist clients in registering for sales and use tax accounts in jurisdictions across the US
• Assist in onboarding process for new sales tax compliance clients, including set-up of returns software (Avalara) and internal technology tools to manage process
• Interacting with clients to gather data required to prepare and file sales & use tax returns
• Preparing, reviewing, and e-filing Sales and Use Tax returns
• Researching notices and resolving issues (liens, citations, etc.)
• Monitoring engagement metrics, billing, and updating online reports
• Attending internal and external conference calls as needed
• Assisting SALT Consulting team with special VDA projects (ie, back returns)
• Assisting with documentation analysis

YOUR EXPERIENCE. 

The successful candidate will have:

• 2+ years of Sales & Use tax compliance experience
• Intermediate user of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong analytical and reasoning skills
• Excellent communication (verbal & written) skills, along with the ability to build and maintain a strong relationship with both firm and client personnel
• Self-motivated and a willingness to learn and grow
