WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Sales Trainee will sell products and services offered by 84 Lumber to current and new clientele. This position is responsible for creating positive customer relationships. The Sales Trainee will build a book of business to become a Contractor Sales Representative, visiting customer sites. Other duties may be assigned by Store Manager.
This exciting career opportunity includes hands on training from our very own field Sales and Management professionals! After completion of the first 6 months of training, the Contractor Sales Trainee will progress into their role over the following 3 months by beginning to service customers directly. Thus, ultimately launching forward on the path of becoming a successful member of 84 Lumber Company’s sales team!
Pay: $16.00/hour

Responsibilities:
Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs.
Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.
Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
Qualifications:
Create and continually grow book of business and acquire new customers.
Create material estimates/read blueprints.
Source special order material.
Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to function in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
Reading prints.
Creating material estimates.
Sourcing special orders.
