About the Role
We're seeking a skilled Salesforce Administrator to join our team in Chicago's Western suburbs. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a relatively new implementation, making significant contributions to a complex, multi-depth Salesforce environment. As a key member of our team, you'll collaborate with experienced developers and junior administrators to enhance system functionality and improve user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configuration and Customization: Implement and configure Salesforce features, including:
- Screen Flows
- Assignment and Validation Rules
- Approval Processes
- Fields, Layouts, and Record Types
- Dynamic Layouts, Apps, and Actions
- Mobile Administration
- Reports and Dashboards
- User and License Management: Manage user access, permissions, profiles, sharing settings, and other security configurations.
- Sandbox Management: Oversee and maintain sandbox environments to support development and testing.
- Data Quality: Implement data quality rules and automation to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- System Maintenance: Perform regular system maintenance tasks, including security reviews, updates, health checks, and optimizer runs.
- Business Analysis and Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with users and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve system efficiency.
- User Training and Adoption: Develop and deliver training materials, conduct training sessions, and provide ongoing support to users.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in testing and quality assurance activities to ensure system stability and performance.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Salesforce administration experience in a complex environment
- Strong problem-solving and technical skills
- Proven experience with Salesforce NPSP, Salesforce Experience Cloud (Community), and Lightning Experience
- In-depth knowledge of Salesforce sharing and security models (roles, profiles, permissions, OWD, sharing rules)
- Solid database background and experience working with SQL databases
- Proficiency in Salesforce configuration, including Flows, fields, page layouts, record types, custom settings, dashboards, and reports
- Experience with data loading tools like Data Loader or Import Wizard
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Salesforce Administrator Certification
- Experience training users and developing training materials
- Passion for continuous learning and professional development
- Active participation in the Salesforce community
- Experience using Salesforce in a non-profit environment
