Job DescriptionAs a Salesforce Cloud Architect, you’ll be responsible for providing technicaloversight for all new and existing SaaS (Salesforce) implementations for theDept. of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, State of Michigan. Responsibilitiesfor this position include but are not limited to:• Participate in vendor’s solution design sessions for client projects providingdesign guidance in areas such as extensions/modifications, data conversion,environment provisioning and application integration to ensure the vendorsolution is efficient, cost-effective, and easily maintainable for SOM.• Work with the customer and end users to define technical requirements for newprojects and any future enhancements.• Lead Technical workshops and design sessions with the Customer.• Propose/Articulate design/architecture options with pros/cons• Ensure that the technical requirements tie back to the established customerrequirements and performance goals and that the technical direction isconsistent with the client's long-term strategy.Fully understand the capabilities and limitations of the technical environmentsof the applications used by the enterprise.• Review technical architecture deliverables throughout development to ensurequality and requirements traceability.• Has overall technical responsibility for the technical aspects of the projectenvironments • Compile internal development guidelines/standards for the development team andensure the team is following those standards.• Provide oversight on QA efforts to ensure adherence to quality assurancestandards. • Ensures the proposed solutions adhere to SOM security guidelines and standardsthroughout the application lifecycle.• Proven record of delivering business value by leveraging technology and anability to communicate strategic technical concepts at an executive level and bea trusted voice at the decision-making table.• Technical leadership, to include coaching and mentoring, setting bestpractices including integration and application development, deployment, testing(unit and systems), and iterative refinement• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Salesforce skillsets• 5+ years of working experience on Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and 2+years with Public Sector Foundation for licensing/permitting• Experience in a minimum of two full Salesforce.com lifecycle implementations,In-depth understanding of the capabilities and constraints of the Salesforce• Assess Salesforce.com architecture and provide secure, high-performancetechnical solutions on the Force.com platform• Design and document technical architecture solutions that span multipleplatforms and include integration and authentication across systems• Custom development experience using advanced structured programming (APEX,Force.com, Java), Salesforce Flow Builder, Visual Flow Pages, Lightning WebComponents (LWC), SOQL• Experience with migrating from Workflow rules/Process builder to Flow builder.• Demonstrates successful implementation of Batch Apex, Apex triggers andclasses.• Understands web services, REST services and other technologies that can beused to transport data in an enterprise environment and interact withSalesforce.com• Ownership of all End-to-End technical aspects of a Salesforce.com program:data modelling, data migrations, data quality, systems integrations, 3rd partyapplications, AppExchange products like Clariti Basic Gov, Conga etc. • CICD/Release Management - Define, communicate, and manage technical changemanagement (e.g., release) processes for all Salesforce.com related technologyefforts• Backup and recovery, data seeding using Own formerly known as OwnBackup.• Experience using Conga composer for generating documents• Identification of risks and issues from a technical perspective.The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual, who can work underdynamic conditions and within deadlines.
