Description: Our client is currently seeking a Sanitation SUpervisor-3rd Shift for a food manufacturing company located just outside of Sioux City.
Location: Sioux City
Pay: $75k-80k+bonus
Shift: 3rd Shift
This job will have the following responsibilities:
This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of sanitation conditions to assess risks and ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Monitor and verify the implementation of cleaning procedures.
- Ensure the safety of all personnel working in the sanitation area.
- Prepare media and reagents for microbiological and chemical testing.
- Evaluate the progress of daily and non-daily cleaning tasks.
- Identify and implement innovative problem-solving techniques.
- Ensure proper use of chemicals, drain baskets, and equipment.
- Verify cleaning efficiency using ATP swabbing and implement corrective actions.
- Manage pre-operational sanitation non-compliances during USDA inspections.
- Support the SQF program in areas such as allergen control, pest control, chemical control, and glass/brittle plastics.
- Coordinate with maintenance and operations departments to ensure proper preventive maintenance programs are in place.
- Minimize pre-operational deficiencies, non-compliance, and downtime.
- Train staff on food safety procedures, quality specifications, and company requirements.
- Conduct quality assessments and audits to ensure compliance.
- Validate the titration of chemical compounds.
- Strong understanding of USDA regulations and food safety standards.
- Experience in sanitation practices and quality assurance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and identify areas for improvement.
