Sanitation Technician - Only candidates with a resume or complete previous and current work experience will be considered.
As a part of our manufacturing group, you will be responsible for supporting production packaging and processing operations, sanitation and participation in startup, operation, changeover and shutdown of operating equipment. This position is responsible for cleaning up after production shifts by assisting with the breaking down of the production equipment, scrub, scrape, wash and sanitize to perfect sanitary conditions.
Shift hours:
- Plant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Must be able to work up to 48 hours a week Sunday – Saturday
- 12 Hour shifts-
- AM Shift: 6am – 6:30pm
- PM Shift: 6pm – 6:30am
- You will be assigned to a crew that works in a rotating on-off pattern of 4 days on and 4 days off
- You will work 4 consecutive weeks of 48 work hours and then four consecutive weeks of 36 work hours, and then repeat.
- Pay averages out to 42 work hours or 44 regular pay hours a week over the 8-week work cycle.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Pay:
- $18.04 per hour
- Additional $0.75 per hour for hours worked on night shift.
- $2.00 shift differential on weekend

What your day will look like:

- Daily tasks include cleaning and sanitation of the production and warehouse facility
- Clean equipment and work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools
- Cleanup work area and trash including products, bags, boxes
- Complete daily paperwork accurately
- Comply with GMP, personal hygiene, HARPC and other quality and safety programs
- Working on man lift up to 30 feet in the air, crawling under equipment in water and debris
- Cleaning facility grounds including ditches, trash bins and trash bin areas and roof areas
- The working environment will be of all-weather types
- Assist in training new employees
- Must be willing to work in other areas of the plant as assigned to do so
- Must be willing to work in all General Production responsibilities and duties as assigned including but not limited to:
- Bag, stack, count, oil, and paper feed
- Throwing dough balls at the press
- Inspecting and reworking product
- Must be able to follow a fair consistent line rotation on the line to perform various tasks
- Operate all equipment in accordance with the SOP’s.
- Maintain control of all equipment and tools
- Responsible for production shut down and clean up of food production line
What you have to offer:
- Minimum of a high school education or GED
- Experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred
- Minimum of 1 year sanitation experience
- Experienced working with chemicals
- Must be able to work in hot or cold environments
Physical requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces
- Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
- Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net and gloves when required
- Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment
- Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions
- Willing to work around industrial high-speed moving machinery
- Ability to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment
