Job Description:
Thinking Minds Inc. is seeking an experienced SAP Functional Lead for one of our clients in West Colorado. This senior role involves overseeing the design, development, and delivery of SAP solutions within the Schedule to Deliver (S2D) function. The successful candidate will lead a team of SAP functional analysts and architects, ensuring that all solutions align with business objectives and best practices while enhancing the overall user experience.
The ideal professional will collaborate closely with senior business leaders to align SAP roadmaps with strategic objectives. This role demands a deep understanding of SAP functional design and the ability to manage complex solution implementations. Key responsibilities include overseeing third-party providers, guiding architectural decisions, and ensuring the integrity of solutions through rigorous testing and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Develop Team: Build and manage a high-performing team of SAP analysts and architects. Provide mentorship and promote a collaborative work environment.
- SAP Solution Design and Delivery: Architect and design SAP solutions that support the Schedule to Deliver function, including hands-on development as needed.
- Strategic Alignment and Planning: Collaborate with senior business leaders to understand strategic goals and translate them into SAP roadmaps, budgeting, and project plans.
- Vendor and Partner Management: Oversee third-party providers to ensure SAP solutions meet quality standards, align with business needs, and follow SAP best practices.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Implement robust testing protocols to maintain the integrity of SAP solutions.
- Demand Prioritization: Assist in managing demand items in the Schedule to Deliver area, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Project Execution: Drive end-to-end project execution, including milestone planning, resource assignment, and monitoring of project deliverables.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of practical experience in SAP functional solution design and delivery.
- At least 3 years in a senior lead role managing a team of SAP professionals.
- Extensive experience with SAP S/4HANA, Transportation Management (TM), Inventory Management (IM), Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), and Logistics Execution (LE) modules.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, and foster professional growth.
- Project Management Expertise: Skilled in SAP delivery planning, resource management, and budgeting.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to design complex SAP solutions to meet unique business needs, with hands-on experience in SAP solution architecture.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to and engage with executive-level stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP Best Practices: Knowledge of SAP best practices for solution delivery and development estimation.
