An iMPact Business Group client in the Medical Device industry is seeking to hire an experienced SAP Functional Support Specialist who has recent experience with providing User Support in an SAP S/4HANA environment.
*** Please note this is a direct hire W2 only role, there is currently no option for Visa Sponsorship ***
This role focuses on User and Functional application support of the SAP MM, WM, SD modules. It is NOT an ABAP Developer role or an SAP Basis role.

This firm is migrating from a prior version of SAP into SAP S/4HANA and expanding their internal SAP Support Team for their US Operations.
This role will start out primarily onsite, with long-term potential to work Hybrid.
Primary focus is supporting users in their US Headquarters. For those interested in international travel, there is some potential for periodic travel to their parent organization in Europe.
This position will focus on providing SAP Functional User Support and provide knowledge sharing to the existing SAP Support team who is in the process of learning SAP S/4HANA.
Typical Duties:
- Utilize strong problem solving skills to support business customers and guide the SAP Technical Teams in producing the required changes
- Supporting Users during an S/4HANA migration, which can include configuration changes, temporary process changes as a work around while SAP is updated, User Training, and general troubleshooting
- Able to provide Functional Support for SAP MM, WM, and SD Users. Candidates must be strong in at least one (1) of these modules, with fundamental knowlege of the other 2
- Works closely with a Senior SAP Support Specialist for timely completion of assigned tasks
- Works closely with other SAP Support team members for troubleshooting and resolving SAP issues including error messages, User authorization/access issues, and related SAP support needs
- Researching and answering a variety of SAP S/4HANA questions and information requests
- Development and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to SAP reporting needs
- Assists with User Training and Team Member training related to the functional use of SAP modules and SAP-interfaced applications
- Able to document Change Requests or document system problems to assist the SAP Technical Support teams in implementing required changes
- Documenting support efforts in the corporate Helpdesk Ticketing system
- Creates routine activity reports about user activity, problems, problem resolution, new developments, and ad-hoc SAP support issues
- May require scheduling flexibility if coordinating with the European parent organization
- 4 year college degree (BA, BS) is required
- 3+ years experience supporting SAP Users and resolving User and Technical support issues
- General/Functional knowledge of MM, WM, SD and SAP S/4HANA software modules
(Candidates with formal training in some of these areas will also be considered)
- Experience supporting Users in an SAP S/4HANA environment is required
- Knowledge of business processes in a Manufacturing environment
- Solid Customer service focus
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing schedules and priorities
- Organized and able to work on multiple issues concurrently
- Team focused and a good Team member
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Experience with and understanding of - cross-cultural differences (Global environment)
- Direct experience supporting Users during a migration to SAP S/4HANA is a strong nice-to-have
- 4 year college degree (BA, BS) is required
