Job Description:
Thinking Minds Inc. is seeking a seasoned Lead SAP Business Analyst for one of our key clients. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive business transformation by implementing and optimizing SAP solutions across various engineering and production functions. The successful candidate will lead SAP initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, working closely with stakeholders across multiple global regions.
As a Lead SAP Business Analyst, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving SAP ECC and S/4 HANA systems, specifically focusing on modules related to Engineering Change Management, Variant Configuration, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Classification, and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) integration. This role requires a deep understanding of the SAP platform and the ability to work collaboratively with business leaders, IT teams, and external partners to ensure smooth project execution and alignment with strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Process Leadership:
- Lead complex Design-to-Operation (DTO) process discussions, guiding the configuration and application of SAP solutions to meet global and regional needs.
- Serve as a trusted partner to stakeholders, translating business requirements into functional specifications and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
SAP Configuration & Implementation:
- Conduct hands-on configuration for Engineering Change Management, Master Data, and Production Planning in both ECC and S/4 HANA environments.
- Ensure all engineering requirements, especially for ETO, MTO, and CTO scenarios, are effectively integrated into SAP functionalities.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage interfaces with related systems, including Document Management for engineering drawings and Variant Configuration setups.
Project Management & Documentation:
- Develop and oversee project plans, resource allocation, testing, and deployment schedules, ensuring alignment with global SAP S/4 HANA strategies.
- Work closely with AMS (Application Managed Services) and vendor partners to enhance project delivery.
- Lead data extraction, cleanup, and loading activities to ensure the quality and accuracy of data in the SAP system.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business units and IT peers, aligning on project goals and ensuring open communication across teams.
- Provide training to end-users and support staff, fostering a knowledge-sharing environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, IT/Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of progressive experience in SAP, specifically in Engineering and Production Planning configurations, testing, and user support.
- In-depth knowledge of Engineering Change Management, Materials Management (BOMs), and Classification.
- Familiarity with SAP technologies like NetWeaver, Fiori, and integration interfaces.
- Proven project management experience, with a demonstrated ability to lead multiple small projects and work in a cross-functional environment.
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities, with experience mentoring junior team members and managing third-party support (AMS).
- Multilingual capabilities are a plus, particularly in Spanish, Portuguese, French, Mandarin, Russian, or Polish.
