Ideal Candidate Should Have:
- 8+ years of experience in SAP Production Planning (PP) and Plant Maintenance (PM), especially within SAP S/4 HANA environments.
- Completed at least 3 full lifecycle implementations in SAP ECC/S/4 HANA.
- Strong understanding of SAP modules: Plant Maintenance, Preventative Maintenance, Production Planning, and integration with Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), Quality Management (QM), and Financials/Controlling (FI/CO).
- Expertise in key processes like Forecasting/Demand Planning, MRP, Process Order Management, Shop Floor Control, Maintenance Scheduling, and Order Settlement.
- Proficiency in Master Data management, including Resources, BOMs, Recipes, Production Versions, and Maintenance Plans.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
- SAP PP or ASCM CPIM certification is a plus.
Job Description:
Thinking Minds Inc.'s client is seeking an experienced SAP S/4 HANA Architect specializing in Production Planning (PP), Shop Floor Execution, and Plant Maintenance (PM) to lead and optimize these functionalities within the SAP S/4 HANA system. This role will focus on managing both ongoing production support and driving configuration and development efforts within the system development life cycle (SDLC).
Key Responsibilities:
- Support & Maintenance: Manage and troubleshoot SAP S/4 HANA Production Planning and Plant Maintenance functionalities, addressing production incidents and handling service requests.
- Solution Design & Documentation: Provide functional support for reports, interfaces, and enhancements. Prepare detailed technical design documents and specifications for ABAP development.
- Process Optimization: Analyze current business processes to identify improvement areas, developing solutions that enhance efficiency and add value to the organization.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, cross-functional teams, vendors, and business partners to ensure successful implementations and alignments with business requirements.
- Localization Management: Oversee SAP localization efforts, particularly for mergers and acquisitions, coordinating with external consultants to address specific localization needs.
- Continuous Improvement: Adopt a value-driven, continuous improvement mindset to contribute to process enhancements and ensure best practices are followed.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications (Preferred): ASCM CPIM or SAP PP certification.
- Technical Experience:
- 8-10 years of hands-on experience in SAP PP and SAP PM, including experience in batch-managed environments.
- Extensive experience with SAP S/4 HANA, Preventative Maintenance, and Materials Management processes.
- Proficient in SAP S/4 HANA modules related to Production Planning, Shop Floor Execution, and Quality Management.
- Detailed knowledge of Master Data management, including Resources, BOMs, Recipes, Production Versions, Equipment, Functional Locations, and Preventative Maintenance Plans.
- Proficient in Production Planning for Process Industries, Demand Planning, Forecasting, MRP, Shop Floor Control, Process Order Management, and Maintenance Scheduling.
- Familiarity with integration points across SAP modules such as MM, SD, QM, and FI/CO.
- Soft Skills: Strong strategic and critical thinking abilities, effective communication skills for both written and verbal interactions, and a collaborative approach to working with virtual teams.
Additional Skills:
- Ability to handle a variety of production-related tasks, including Planned Orders, Firm Planned Orders, Reorder Point/MRP, Process Order Settlement, Emergency and Preventative Maintenance Orders, and Maintenance Order Settlement.
