SAP Tester
Location – Seattle, WA – in-person interview required
Duration – 6 months

Description:
This job contributes to Starbucks success by assuring the high quality of information technology (IT) hardware and software prior to production rollout. Develops, maintains and executes quality assurance test scripts and checklists, reviews documentation and tracking of rollout activities and reports on status and final results of those activities. Works with developers and technical specialists to develop and implement new testing tools and methods. Assists in the final approval of all changes and provides leadership to the overall quality assurance team. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.
Summary of Key Responsibilities :
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
• Attends project review meetings to provide input regarding all system functions and allow for planning of quality assurance testing on upcoming changes.
• Collaborates with internal business clients on achieving their needs during application development, in coordination with project management.
• Creates and publishes reports on status and results of quality assurance testing activities.
• Develops and maintains quality assurance test scripts, tests plans and checklists starting at project design phase, for all current and new applications.
• Organizes materials and acts as librarian for all quality assurance test scripts, procedures and materials.
• Escalates problems and issues to the project manager, and offers solutions as needed.
Skills and Competencies Required:
• Proactive approach, willing to take the initiative and associated responsibility
• Excellent diagnostic, problem solving and process analysis skills.
• Ability to build relationships with various stakeholders & comfort dealing with all levels within the organization
• Excellent English communication skills (written and oral)
• Basic understanding of UI test automation
Qualifications:
• Develop and execute quality assurance test scripts, tests plans and checklists. (5+ years)
• Test experience in SAP HCM - PA, OM, Time & Payroll. (5+ years)
• Test experience in US Payroll processes including Off-cycle, Year-end activities, garnishments, 3rd party, Taxes. (3+ years)
• Test experience in SAP ESS & Client is a plus
• Experience testing integrations between large enterprise systems
• Experience in SAP HR test automation will be a plus.
• Strong understanding of project management or software development lifecycle methodologies like ASAP, Waterfall & Agile.
• Excellent knowledge of Test foundation server(TFS) tool and the structure of test artifacts (test cases, scripts, results and defects) with in the tool.
This role will support the testing of impacts to SAP due to a new integration with our new workforce management system
