Sas Administrator at TEKsystems

Description:

Our Client is in need of a contract resource to help do a "lift and shift" migration for their accounting system that will be moving from SAS to Snowflake. In addition, the "one man show" that has been supporting this system for many years is retiring at the end of the year.

This migration to Snowflake involves moving from SAS to Python, SQL and DBT. Or you could look at it as going from SAS&SQL to Python & SQL. The project kicked off in very early July and was supposed go through October, but the vendor is MAJORLY behind and now the project will go through the end of Q1 at best.

The current need is more of a pure/strong operational SAS person who can use SAS as a data transformation too. and if something goes wrong operationally, this person can troubleshoot it and fix it.

Alot runs on SAS on a weekly basis and on Saturdays, so there may be a need for some Saturday work and OT is approved. Could be looking at some 50 to 60 hour weeks in January as the project picks up.
