About the Job
SAT/ACT Math Tutor Wanted! Sylvan Learning Center is looking for fun, dedicated tutors to help students achieve their highest potential. Our focus is on personalized, results-driven instruction. As an SAT/ACT Math Tutor, you will be responsible for preparing students for the math sections of the SAT and ACT exams.

What you should know:
• Most tutors choose to work 2-3 days/week
• We are open for instruction weekday afternoons and evenings, and Saturday mornings.
• This is NOT a remote position
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality instruction in all math topics covered on the SAT and ACT, including algebra, problem solving and data analysis, advanced math.
- Develop customized lesson plans based on students' strengths and areas for improvement.
- Help students build strong foundational math skills, understand complex concepts, and apply problem-solving strategies.
- Communicate regularly with students and parents about progress and strategies for improvement.
- Stay updated on the latest test formats, question types, and strategies.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of SAT/ACT math content and test-taking strategies.
- Previous experience tutoring math for standardized tests is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, adaptability, and a passion for helping students succeed.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
