Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Saw Operator and material handling experience to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will operate saw equipment to cut materials according to specifications while also managing the handling and movement of materials throughout our facility. Your precision and attention to detail will ensure the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:

• Operate saw equipment to cut various materials according to precise measurements and specifications.
• Adjust machine settings to ensure accurate cuts and efficient operation.
• Inspect materials for quality and consistency before and after cutting.
• Perform routine maintenance on saw equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
• Move materials to and from work areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
• Organize and maintain inventory of materials in designated storage areas.
• Collaborate with team members to fulfill production requirements and meet deadlines.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and orderly work environment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Saw Operator in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and measurements.
• Experience with material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical stamina and strength to lift and move heavy materials.
• Willingness to follow safety guidelines and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification or training in saw operation and material handling.
• Knowledge and experience with band saw and chop saw
• Forklift Certification
• Experience working in an employee-owned company or cooperative environment.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
