Job Title: Saw Operator

Job Summary:
Cut structural steel to specified sizes based on provided cut lists, work orders, or bills of materials, ensuring compliance with industry and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setup: Utilize computer-assisted gauging systems for precise cuts.
• Quality Control: Perform quality checks on fabricated materials using inspection tools.
• Material Handling: Offload shipments, inspect for imperfections, and verify counts.
• Attendance: Work up to 10 hours daily to meet production schedules.
• Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret blueprints and work orders accurately.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of time and production status.

Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or GED; basic math skills (fractions/decimals).
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role preferred; training provided.
• Skills: Proficiency in using tape measures, calipers, and operating forklifts and overhead cranes.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance and stand for long periods.

Safety Precautions:

• Required to wear safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, hearing protection, gloves, and long sleeves as necessary.

Work Environment:

• Indoor manufacturing facility with occasional outdoor duties; conditions may include noise, light fumes, and dust.
