SCADA Engineer

Gpac has partnered with a successful manufacturer that’s searching for a SCADA Engineer to join their team.

Experience / Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field is required
• 2-5 years' experience in Software development on embedded systems required
• Previous Industry experience: Industrial Automation, Machinery, Material Handling is highly preferred
• Understanding and hands-on experience with one or more of these Scripting languages: Modicon, GE Historian, IFIX
• Knowledge of Real Time Operating System

Responsibilities:

• Work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Partner with your lead in determining the requirements, design, and maintenance of controls software specifics
• Clearly communicate any deviation from project timelines,
• Create functional requirements for embedded system design
• Technical Documentation – developments, updates, test plans and results
• Conduct testing, analyze results, and provide decisive reports along with next steps including timeline
• Develop and validate embedded control solutions
• Participates in reviews of documents, designs, code, test cases and user documentation
• Integrate software functionalities in a real-time embedded environment
• Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance
