**Job Summary:** Petrochem is currently seeking a **Scaffold Builder Journeyman in Seattle, WA** . The Scaffold Builder must be highly productive, experienced in the craft, and familiar with the use of all equipment, materials, and procedures necessary for the safe erection, modification, and dismantling of all types of scaffolds (particularly commercial scaffolding.)
**Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Assembles, alters, and dismantles scaffolds according to OSHA guidelines and manufacturers' recommendations.
+ Cooperates with Petrochem Project Manager and customers in carrying out assigned work.
+ Collaborates with site supervisors, foremen, and other trades to coordinate scaffold needs.
+ Assists in loading, unloading, and storage of equipment and supplies.
+ Directs the Helper/Laborer in proper work performance and job requirements.
+ Performs work in the safest possible manner at all times.
+ Keeps the job site clean by keeping it clear of all trash, unused materials, etc.
+ Ensures all scaffolding components are in good condition and meet safety standards.
+ Conducts regular inspections and maintenance of scaffolding equipment.
+ Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
**Key Requirements and Education Experience:**
+ Must provide own hammer and 7/8 wrench.
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ Ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights of up to 250 feet.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
+ Must have reliable transportation.
+ OSHA certification or equivalent safety training is preferred. Must have knowledge of safe work practices.
+ Must have a demonstratable level of experienced in scaffold building, including familiarity with the use of all equipment, materials, and procedures necessary for the safe erection, modification, and dismantling of all types of scaffolds.
+ Must be able to follow directions.
**Travel:**
+ As dictated by business need.
