Functional Summary
The scale clerk will be be responsible for running the scales, dispatching trucks, and other tasks around scale house operations.
Key Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the scale clerk include, but not limited to:
- Utilize the scale hours program to log in trucks to system, weighing the trucks, set up trucks in system, set up job orders, set up customers
- Print Scale tickets
- Keep accurate records for billing purposes
- Generate and send out reports as needed
- Entering fuel and equipment usage
- Basic office duties such as data entry, filing, scanning, etc
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Promote, execute and adhere to the company's safety policy, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.
- Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself, or endanger the wellbeing of others.
- Promote a team approach and maintain dialogue with all employees to exchange information and gather ideas.
- Collaborate with any project teams on other special initiatives, as required.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED but not required
Work Experience
- Minimum 0-1 years' experience within the road construction industry
- Scale House experience is preferred
- Basic knowledge of Word, Outlook and Excel is preferred
- Bilingual is a plus
Working Conditions
- Work hours are from 6am-4pm with occasional Saturday hours
- Overtime as required.
- Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol testing requirements.
