Pay: $19.50/hr depeding on experience

SUMMARY

Performs generalclericaland office supportduties for the scale houses.Arranges for delivery,and invoicing of all sales.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

Works from general supervisiononroutine duties withstandardpolicies and procedures.Refersproblems and questions to supervisor.

PRI MARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITI ES

• Answer phone courteouslyand arrangecustomerorders.Take messages,when appropriate

• Weightrucks and write scaletickets.

• Arrange for and dispatch truck deliveries.

• Providecustomer servicebyansweringquestions, taking credit applications and assisting customers& vendors, as needed, calculatingrock requirementsand appropriate pricing.

• Forward largerandbid type projects to salesstaff.

• Responsiblefor careand maintenanceof computer and phone equipment.

• Relaymessages on theradio, as needed.

• Primarily in charge of all incomingand outgoingfacsimiles.

• Mail correspondence to the Overland Park office.

• Knowledgeof MSHA(Mine Safety and HealthAdministration) rules,trainingpractices, first aidand anyother rulesof safety as applicable to the specifictask

• Keepwork areacleanandorderlyins idethe scale houseandaroundthequarry.

• Must submitto random drug testing, as selected,and complywithCompanyDrug and AlcoholPolicy.

REQU IRED MI NI MU M QUA LIFICATIONS

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Knowledge of generaloffice practices and procedures.Knowledgeof grammar,spelling andpunctuation. Skill in operating a computer to store dataand generatereports. Abilityto add, subtract,multiply and divide. Abilityto usegeneraloffice equipment such as acalculator,personalcomputer, copy machine, fax machine,etc. Verbaland written communication skillsneeded. Ability to pay closeattentionto detail with minimalerrors,both over thetelephone andintra-personnel.Skillin safetyaroundother individualsandmachines.

Education

High schoolgraduationor equivalent preferred.

Experience

Six months to one year'sexperiencepreferred performing generalclericalduties and office functions.
