Responsibilities:
- Automation and process improvement of current desktop environment focused on processes for inventory of existing assets, tracking of newly purchased assets, patching, and central management.
- Serve as the main point of contact for the central management of configurations and patching.
- Establish corporate desktop standards.
- Research emerging technology and evaluate for company use as part of project work.
- Serve as Level III Support for escalation of all end user devices and desktop issues.
- Manage, maintain, and create standard build / images and the build / image creation process for all devices.
- Create and maintain process and procedures including but not limited to:
- Procurement / Ordering Process.
- Preparation / Configuration Process.
- Distribution Process.
- Asset Management Process.
- Usage Policies.
- Vendor Management (applicable to both supply and support Vendors).
- Manage applications essential to business functions (e.g. AirWatch, SCCM, Avalanche, etc.).
- Participate in the evaluation of new vendors and implementation process upon vendor selection.
- Document, manage, and maintain interaction processes between vendors, users, and support staff.
- Document, manage, and maintain list of vendor escalation contacts and the escalation process.
- Develop, document, and manage process to obtain feedback and metrics to evaluate vendor performance.
- Maintain relationships and facilitate resolution of any vendor performance issues.
- Escalation point for vendor issues.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 6 + years direct experience in an IT related field providing desktop support and systems engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, networking hardware (cabling, switches, Wi-Fi, cellular) and Mac OS, iOS. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Extensive knowledge of Windows OS, application packaging methodology, strong understanding of Mac OSX, iOS.
- Strong to SME skills with enterprise desktop systems administration tools such as IBM Bigfix, SCCM, Flexera Admin Studio, Symantec Suite.
- Experience working with all end users, application owners, and other IT stakeholders to build and support the most efficient and stable EUD experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
