About the Job
Herzog Contracting Corp. is currently seeking a Scheduler in Carrollton, TX to work on the DART Silver Line Commuter Rail Design/Build.
Duties and Responsibilities:
*This is a non-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position.
- Perform tasks required to develop and maintain schedules for the project. Includes cost and resource loading, collecting actual quantities installed per schedules, assess progress data supplied by others, and visual inspection.
- Update cost and resource-loaded schedules and assist in preparation of pay applications.
- Support supervision through preparation and maintenance of forecasts and schedules. May draft construction network diagrams for specific area.
- Develop detailed engineering and construction schedules with construction management. May assemble data from variety of sources including A/E, client engineering, other contractors, and the like.
- Supervise updating of construction forecast to reflect most current plans/requirements.
- Interface with other construction departments to provide scheduling data for items such as change requests, bid comparisons, new work item estimates, and resolution of potential schedule/work problems.
- May provide supervision and/or on-the-job training to clerical and entry level professional personnel assigned to area of responsibility.
- Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.
- Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.

Qualifications:
- Four-year engineering degree plus five or more years similar construction scheduling experience or equivalent combinations of training and related experience.
- Working knowledge of and ability to select/apply resource monitoring and control techniques such as CPM networks scheduling, computer scheduling techniques, etc. as well as an understanding of the nature of process systems, structures and construction technology required.

- Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.

- Work primarily in an office environment.

- Must successfully pass color/vision examinations as required by the position.
- Must be able to hear and distinguish auditory signals as required by the position.
