Scheduling Coordinator and Central Supply| Armenian Nursing and Rehab
Our administrative team is looking for a Scheduling Coordinator who is a motivated and organized individual with the desire to "make a difference" to ensure that our nursing department schedules are properly staffed to ensure a continuum of quality care to our residents.
Position Summary: The Scheduling Coordinator ensures appropriates scheduling of all RN's/LPN's and Certified Nursing Assistants to budgeted staffing levels to cover shifts that occur 24/7/365.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Ensure adequate licensed and non-licensed staff to each floor of "Houses" to meet our staffing patterns and federal and state requirements;
- Review, record, and manage requests for time off in accordance with policies and procedures;
- Maintain staff attendance records;
- Update staffing sheets on an ongoing basis;
- Replace any call-outs as soon as possible;
- Monitor schedules to ensure that overtime is not incurred without the prior approval of the Administrator.
- Collaborate with the HR Specialist to report any incidents of absenteeism due to illness, workplace injury, leaves of absence or other Employee Relations information.
- Collaborate with the Employment Specialist to report staffing needs which may need to be recruited for.
- Participate in weekly Staffing Meetings with leadership, nursing and HR.
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 1-2 years as a scheduler in a hospital, nursing home or home care agency setting;
- Must have computer experience;
- Must possess outstanding organizational skills;
- Must be able to interact effectively and professionally with residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, the general public and other staff members.
