- Support retailers and/or clients POG development throughout defined category review process or client initiatives.
- Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, resolving problems, and adjust as needed to meet deadlines.
- Communicate business opportunities and recommend action plans by working with clients, customers, and/or Business Development Managers.
- Organize information by studying, analyzing, interpreting, and classifying data.
- Provide Assortment Analytics to supporting departments.
- Utilize space productivity metrics and principals to maximize SKU and assortment mix, space/shelf allocation, sales and profits.
- Create Core/Template Planograms which represent the visual presentation standards and product placement goals of merchandising, supports clustering strategies, and optimizes space/shelf productivity. Communicate goals & versioning for store specific challenges as required.
- Develop and incorporate merchandise presentation standards in the creation and maintenance of all planograms.
- Executes test sets in supermarket environment.
- Educate store personnel through written communications and memos with regard to executing new sets.
- Determine and quantify primary business opportunities and key drivers as they pertain to shelving.
- Support key business opportunities by recommending merchandising/assortment solutions based on applicable data.
- Prioritize optimal assortment and/or shelving information to support the goals of our clients, customers, and company.
- Evaluate the reliability of source information by weighing raw data and organizing results for analysis.
- Provide planogram information for clients, customers, and/or Business Development Managers using syndicated or customer-specific data sources.
Qualifications:
- Non-perishable/perishable product knowledge and merchandising background in a supermarket setting preferred.
- Must have a working knowledge of product resets and ability to read planograms.
- Strong PC skills (preferred Microsoft Office and Excel workable knowledge).
- JDA experience a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve business problems.
- Team oriented with excellent time management and organization skills.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal & written)
- Customer service oriented with ability to maintain positive attitude in all situations.
- Must possess and demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, energy, and be very detail oriented.
- Sterling integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to view the changing dynamics of the grocery industry and seek out opportunities for synergy and integration within different areas of the business.

Essential Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesPlanogram Development & Maintenance- Manage project timelines for assigned categories, often at the direction of the retailer- Manage the retailer defined category review process and planogram execution- Planogram production based on retailer defined flows, adjacencies and space definitions- Planogram quality assurance to make sure all planograms meet assortment requirements, innovation opportunities, and shelving metrics- Often help execute and evaluate test setsData Analysis / Interpretation / Application- Utilize available sales data to help facilitate planograms with defined days of supply and pack out metrics- Make assortment decisions utilizing sales and shopper data to support cluster and size-specific planogram requirements Supervisory ResponsibilitiesDirect Reports- This position does not have supervisory responsibilities for direct reportsIndirect Reports- This position does not have guidance or mentoring responsibilities for indirect reports Travel and/or Driving Requirements- Travel and Driving are not essential duties or functions of this job Travel up to 5% Minimum QualificationsThe following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the jobEducation Level: (Required): A.S.
