Job Description:
The Scholarship Specialist is responsible for coordinating institutional, state, international, and outside scholarship programs to support Enrollment Management and promote access to education. Key duties include managing scholarship applications and deferments, ensuring policy compliance, collaborating with stakeholders and donors, maintaining records, generating reports, improving processes, and providing guidance to maximize scholarship opportunities for students.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the entire scholarship process, from application intake, evaluation, and awarding for institutional, state, and international scholarships, as well as outside scholarship opportunities.
- Work closely with campus stakeholders (financial aid, admissions, academic departments, and student services) to streamline scholarship processes and maintain clear communication regarding scholarship opportunities.
- Maintain accurate scholarship records and generate regular reports to track scholarship disbursements, student eligibility, and overall financial aid impact on student enrollment.
- Provide guidance to students, parents, and prospective applicants on scholarship opportunities, eligibility requirements, and application processes, both in person and via digital platforms.
- Ensure all scholarship programs comply with institutional, state, and federal guidelines, as well as specific scholarship policies and eligibility criteria.
- Regularly review scholarship processing workflows and administrative procedures, identifying areas for improvement to increase efficiency and better serve students.
