Naples Classical Academy (NCA) is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of Business Manager. This is a full-time, year-round, in-person position.

Job Summary
The Business Manager will oversee, manage, and coordinate the business affairs of the charter school. This includes supervisory responsibilities for Marketing, Enrollment, IT, and Accounting.
Responsibilities and Duties
Financial Management
- Assist the Head of School in preparing the annual school budget and manage all phases of the budget throughout the year.
- Develop budget guidelines and monitor all purchase orders for accuracy.
- Maintain accurate and detailed accounts of all financial transactions.
- Report the charter school’s accounting and financial condition to the Board, auditors, state and local sources, and patrons.
- Ensure all financial records comply with generally accepted accounting standards.
- Complete all necessary financial reports for the State Department of Education.
- Monitor the school's cash flow and investments.
- Oversee reconciling the general ledger balance to the monthly bank reconciliation.
- Serve as the official purchasing agent, establishing procedures for acquiring supplies and equipment.
- Manage the audit of all claims, invoices, and demands against the Board and arrange for payment.
- Account for the deposit of all school funds and investments.
- Maintain financial data to assist the Board negotiation team during negotiations.
- Provide advanced warnings of changes in expenditures or revenues as compared to the adopted budget.
Administrative and Operational Support
- Manage personnel records, contracts, and employment agreements.
- Handle procurement processes, obtain competitive bids, and negotiate vendor contracts.
- Ensure proper maintenance of records related to auditing requirements, tax laws, and employee benefits.
- Stay updated on changes in education finance laws and regulations.
- Provide data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
- Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and staff to address financial and operational needs.
- Communicate budgetary information to stakeholders, including parents and the school board.
- Represent the school in financial matters and attend relevant meetings.
- Ensure all local, state, and federal standards for health and safety are maintained.
Board Duties
- Assist in preparing agendas for Board meetings and attend all Board meetings.
- Be responsible for the retention and destruction of public documents per federal and state law.
- Assist the Board and Headmaster in developing and updating policies for school business operations.
- Post and publish all legal notices.
- Call special meetings as required.
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and conferences as requested by the Head of School.
- Represent the school district positively and follow school policy and chain of command.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business or a related field.
- Previous management or leadership experience.
- Strong financial analysis and budget management skills.
- Knowledge of education finance laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, including QuickBooks.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified School Business Official CSBO) preferred.
Compensation
Salary: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 annually.
