* Center for Health Equity, funded by the Philadelphia Department of Public Health (PDPH), and in partnership with the School District of Philadelphia (SDP), is implementing a school-located vaccination program to administer routine vaccinations required by SDP to students in West Philadelphia elementary and high schools. CHE will hire clinical staff to bring routine vaccines to schools and administer them to students during the school day with the goal of improving vaccination rates among elementary and high school students attending SDP schools in West Philadelphia.
150-200 hours over the course of the project total for this role, not per individual position.
This position will be responsible for the a pilot program awarded through the Philadelphia Department of Health supporting School-Located Vaccine Program (SLV) serving elementary and high schools in Philadelphia, PA.
Part time role that requires (2-6) 4 hours shifts per month through June 2025.
Variable locations. We're looking for 2-3 RNs to cover all shifts.
Ideally they would serve as back-ups for one another throughout.

Responsible for all aspects of SLV clinic nursing services in collaboration with the manager and key stakeholders. The RN administers vaccinations to under vaccinated stakeholders in Philadelphia schools as dicated by the Phiadelphia Department of Health.
• Works collaboratively with HR, worker comp, IPC and EHS to assure best practice, optimal service and safety.
• Demonstrates knowledge of electronic medical record (EMR) and enters all data correctly in EMR system. Ability to track and utilize data through reports.
• Participates in committee work and departmental process improvement projects related. Ability to organize or lead work under direction of the manager.
Knowledge of process improvement work strongly preferred.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to problem solve
Strong written and oral communication skills. Comfortable with group speaking and presentations.
Venipuncture skills
Chain of Custody drug testing
Respiratory fit-testing
***This position will primarily be responsible for SLV***
Education:
PA license to practice as a registered nurse or LPN
BSN preferred.
Prefer 1-3 years' experience in Occupational Health.
Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a related nursing field, preferably with adult injury, ED, or ambulatory exposure.
