School Nurse - 1:1 Nursing - Evesham, NJ - Pediatric Developmental Services

**NCSP or State School Nurse license required**

SCHOOL NURSE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Managing health care initiatives in the school.
• Managing minor daily health issues for students and staff, as needed.
• Performing hearing and vision screenings for students, as directed by health officials.
• Storing and Dispensing prescription medicine to students during school hours.
• Teaching health and nutrition classes to students that is a part of the state's preset curriculum.
• Managing immunization records for students, among other professional duties.

SCHOOL NURSE QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's Degree in Nursing.
• Has obtained or is eligible for an endorsement as a School Nurse as prescribed in the bylaws of the State Department of Education.
• Experience or specialized training in the field of pediatric mental health is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and maintain ethical and accountability standards.
• Demonstrates interpersonal skills, and communicates effectively and courteously both verbally and in writing.
• Has the ability to coordinate activities and work effectively with professional staff, support staff, parents, and representatives from agencies outside the school system.
