An education system in Westchester County is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join one of their schools in Yonkers as a School Nurse.
About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Assignment Length: Ongoing (Contract to Hire)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8am to 3:30pm
Responsibilities:
The School Nurse (RN) will:
- Perform nursing assessments and provide treatments and nursing care as required
- Maintain accurate record keeping and IEP/IFSP goal tracking documentation as required by SED/EI and ESCS policies for quality assurance and accountability purposes
- Respond to and participate in resolving emergency medical situations
- Attend daily clinical status meeting as required
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Nursing experience, including 1 year of experience working with the Pediatric population
- Graduate of an accredited RN program.
- New York State RN License Required
- Current BCLS certification
Desired Skills:
- Pediatric Nurse Certification from American Nurses Credentialing Center
- Experience working with multiple handicapped and/or medically involved children
