JOB SUMMARY:
The practice of Occupational Therapy uses activity and adapted surroundings to facilitate self-care activities, motor performance and sensory-motor skills to facilitate the student’s independent functioning and to decrease the effects of the handicapping condition on the student’s ability to participate in the educational process in cooperation with other staff members and parents.

- Contract through the 2024/2025 school year – 37.5 to 40 hours per week
- Contract follows the academic district calendar
Salary:
- Starting at $50/hr.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Valid Washington State Educational Staff Associate (ESA)
- Must be a Registered Occupational Therapist in the state of WA.
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License
- Minimum of one year experience working with youth aged 3 to 21
- Current First Aid/CPR
- Great communication skills with parents, students, and team members
School Occupational Therapist (OT) Duties:
- Participate in the development of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) in conjunction with school personnel and parents.
- Conduct and interpret informal and formal assessments through the use of the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) process.
- Participate in varied service delivery models (i.e. individual, group, consultative) in cooperation with the student, other school personnel, and the student’s family.
