Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of this faculty member is to coordinate and deliver instruction throughout the School’s pharmacotherapeutics course sequence both in the traditional and online pathways. Additionally, other course work may be assigned at the discretion of the Chair of Pharmacy Practice. Furthermore, the faculty member will maintain a clinical practice in ambulatory care and act as a preceptor for the School’s students for both introductory and advanced pharmacy practice experiences.
FTE: 1.0 FTE Faculty, Clinical-track
Qualifications:
• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D)
• The completion of a PGY1 residency, and preferably also a PGY2 residency.
• Experience in internal medicine
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to utilize various software programs
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and deliver instruction throughout the School’s pharmacotherapeutics course sequence and maintain a clinical practice and act as a preceptor to the School’s students.
• Participate in committee assignments as required by the School.
• Participate in service to the community in accordance with the mission of D’Youville.
• Participate in scholarship and research that align with area of specialty that will satisfy expectations for renewal and promotion.
• Serve as an advisor to Pharm.D students
