School Psychologist - SEEM Collaborative

About the Job
SEEM Collaborative is seeking a full time School Psychologist.
Successful candidate should:
-Possess a current Massachusetts DESE license as a school psychologist
-Ability to read and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, assessment data or government regulations.
-Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from staff and/or parents.
-Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely in written and oral communication.
-Knowledge of state regulations pertaining to Interim Alternative Setting and Extended Evaluations.
-Knowledge of special education regulations and procedures and the need to maintain confidentiality.
-Ability to develop effective working relationships with students, staff, and the school community.
-Ability to perform duties with awareness of all SEEM Collaborative requirements and Board of Education policies.
Responsibilities:
-Administer and interpret cognitive, academic, and social/emotional/behavioral assessments.
-Connect assessment data to best practice recommendations.
-Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and all associated practices including: data collection and analysis and corresponding recommendations.
-Attend team and student-focused meetings.
-Assist in the intake process as required.
-Consult with parents, administrators, teachers, districts, outside providers, and students concerning the educational and emotional needs of students.
-Provide individual and group counseling per student’s individual needs. The areas include but are not limited to social skills training, crisis intervention, and short- term therapeutic intervention.
-Provides therapeutic direction to staff on an ongoing basis regarding students facing specific challenges in their ability to function safely at school or for students in crisis.
-Assume other responsibilities as might be assigned by the Program Director or Executive Director.
