Job Description
Title: School Secretary
Reports To: Principal
Primary purpose:
The secretary is a critical role to support our growth and development with our parents and community.
Day to day Responsibilities:
Communication
· Ensure all school events and activities are planned and scheduled well in advance and ensure all parents are appropriately and timely informed of all school events inc days off, assemblies, field trips etc.
· Collaborate and be the representative of dePaul with the parent organization.
· Distribute the parent directory and school calendar.
· Coordinate school field trips.
· Coordinate, schedule and attend special functions and meetings of the school, parents, partners and students.
· Support a social media plan aligned with our school culture, brand and objectives and execute postings appropriately.
· Take pictures and videos to post to FB, LinkedIn, Tik Tok, Twitter, etc.
· Support creation and distribution of newsletters (3 per school yr).
· Create basic website updates and work with website developer to adjust website.
· Support fundraising campaigns.
· Recommend and support marketing and advertising campaigns.
· Own our google account and ensure optimization, sponsorship and reviews are posted timely.
· Scan the internet for non-profit websites and school review websites to ensure updated and accurate information is presented.
Administrative
· Greet and welcome all guests and visitors to the school.
· Support Principals, staff and students with ad hoc requests
· Assess and address student health and safety needs (Band aids and Tylenol as needed).
· Oversee and maintain family, faculty, student and other various school databases in coordination with the Director of Operations
· Be a visible presence in all areas of the school; work towards a resolution of all problems as they arise, keep the head of school / executive assistant informed of general problems, activities and opportunities
· Participate in crisis management plans and drills.
· Attend admin/staff meetings as necessary

· Experience in customer service (written and verbal)
