Description:

To perform school secretary successfully, the individual must be able to perform essential duty satisfactorily.  The qualifications are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or above
• Work-related experience in school office work preferred
• Knowledge and ability to use technology and related software
• Ability to operate commonly used office machines and technology
• Demonstrated proficiency in typing and good interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage telephone calls in a courteous and efficient manner
• Ability to  greet the public and staff with professional demeanor
• This position requires the medical and physical capacity to perform the major responsibilities
• Maintain confidentiality
• Perform other tasks related to the efficient operation of the office
• Perform additional duties to those specified at the request of the Superintendent or his/her designee 

Required criminal history background check and proof of US citizenship or legal resident alien status

Must be NJ resident within one year from date of hire
