TITLE: SCHOOL SECURITY OFFICER - PART-TIME
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP/PENNSAUKEN CAMPUSES
Deadline: This position will be filled in no less than ten (10) days after the date of this posting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Previous experience in law enforcement or security work.
2. Valid New Jersey Driver’s License.
3. Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.
4. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the board of education may find
appropriate and acceptable.
5. Meet the health qualifications required of all personnel.
6. Successfully undergo a criminal history check and proof of
U.S. citizenship or legal alien status.
7. Meets NJ residency requirements or willingness to relocate to NJ within 365 days of employment.
8. Must follow the guidelines of the Camden County Technical Schools' Nepotism Policy,
File Code: 0142.1.

POSITION GOAL: To assist in the educational process by securing and protecting students, staff and
school property.
REPORTS TO: Supervisor assigned per the CCTS’ Organizational Chart
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist with supervision of student and staff parking.
2. Assist with morning and afternoon supervision of student transportation services.
3. Assist with building evacuation and emergency procedures.
4. Assist in the development, processing and administration of the student, staff and visitor
identification systems.
5. Assist in the maintenance and operation of the school district video security system.
6. Maintain and distribute staff communication devices.
7. Assist in the coordination of security assignments for school activities.
8. Consult with division heads on methods of increasing security in and about school premises.
9. Act as a liaison with public safety authorities on matters affecting school security.
10. Maintain a security log and prepares reports as directed.
11. Assist in conducting security related investigations.
12. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor per the CCTS’ Organizational Chart/or
designee.
